Welcome to the K & I Model Railroad Club! We are glad you decided to become a member. We hope your experience with the K & I is enjoyable and rewarding.
As you review the information on this webpage for NEW MEMBERS, please don’t hesitate to ask questions and take notes about items that may pique your interest. Any regular member of the K & I should be able to answer your questions. But don’t hesitate to reach out to any board member or committee chair. We are all here to help you succeed as a K & I Member. If you’re not sure who to ask or how to proceed, always feel free to email kandimodelrailroadclub@gmail.com . Your question will be routed to someone who can help you.
An important part of your orientation into the K & I Model Railroad Club is your mentor who is your individual point of contact for immediate resolution of any questions you may have concerning the Club. If you haven’t been assigned a mentor yet, you soon will be. Your mentor will furnish you with their contact information and be there to guide you during your probationary period.
During your probationary period you are asked to learn about the K & I Model Railroad Club. You are encouraged to explore, ask questions and involve yourself in ways that will enhance your understanding of who we are and what we do so that by the time you are eligible to become a regular member you will feel comfortable with being one of us. It’s a chance for you to get to know us and for us to get to know you.
We believe the K & I has the talent, interest and diversity to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of model railroading. If you become actively involved in the K & I, we promise you’ll find many opportunities to learn more about model railroading, share the fun and excitement of new and exciting adventures, and meet some great people along the tracks.
Again, welcome to the K & I, and we look forward to the contributions you will make to YOUR Club. While you’re learning, you are also bringing your talents and background to the club. For that we say, “Thanks”, and please continue to share your ideas and talents with us.
